Where We Stayed
Double Tree Myrtle Beach Hotel
We stayed at the Double Tree Myrtle Beach Hotel. We were on the very last floor which was on the end and had a balcony which looked over the ocean. It was our first time staying in an ocean view room, and I absolutely loved going to bed listening to the waves crash into the shore, and I loved waking up every morning, and waking up to the ocean.
The hotel has a lot to offer: 3 pools (one being an indoor/outdoor) and a lazy river, fitness center, bike rentals, games, the beach, and putting greens.
Where To Eat
Ocean Blue Restaurant
Every morning we at the the Ocean Blue Restaurant and got the buffet. They had so many breakfast options such as: eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, fruit, yogurt, muffins, toast and so much more! I loved the fact that it was a buffet, that we we didn’t have to wait on our food. They had seating to eat breakfast indoors or outside on the patio where you had a view of the pool and the ocean.
Hard Rock Cafe
The Hard Rock Cafe is one of my favorite places to eat at when visiting a new state. If there is a Hard Rock Cafe in the state we are visiting, I always make sure to eat there, so I can bring a Hard Rock Cafe guitar magnet home. Each state that I have visited, I have a guitar magnet that I have bought from that Hard Rock Cafe. It’s such a fun, souvenir to have and I can’t wait to add even more to my fridge!
What to See & Do
There are so many things to see and do while you are in Myrtle Beach. Here is list: the beach, jet skiing, parasailing, family kingdom amusement park, OceanFront Helicopters, Hollywood Wax Museum, Huntington Beach State Park, kayaking, miniature golf, and so much more!
Ocean Front Helicopters
We kept this vacation pretty relaxed and didn’t do very many activities. The first full day that we were here, we rode in a helicopter for the first time at OceanFront Helicopters. It was such a neat experience and I’m so glad I finally got to cross this off my bucket list! OceanFront Helicopters is a very popular activity in Myrtle Beach. They have 9 different packages that you can choose from that range from $19.99 per person to $179.99 per person. We did the North Beach Tour which was $39.99 per person. It was so worth the price and I loved being able to overlook the ocean from above.
Sky Wheel Myrtle Beach
If you visit Myrtle Beach, be sure to visit the Sky Wheel during the evening. It’s so pretty to watch in the dark when all the colors change. It’s 187 ft tall and is the second tallest one in the United States.
