I’ve spent the past 20 years of my life, never once going apple picking! Am I crazy or what?! So, over the weekend my mom, my brothers and I all made a trip to Wilson’s Orchard for some apple picking. We were hoping for a cooler day, but instead, Mother Nature gave us 80 degrees and sunshine—not exactly sweater weather, but we weren’t complaining. We wandered down rows of apple trees, some heavy with bright red apples, others with crisp green ones, and filled a basket to take home. Before leaving, we treated ourselves to homemade apple turnovers and some fresh apple cider for the ride.
That little adventure also made me appreciate just how much care goes into orchard-made treats, especially cider. And the growing appreciation for locally sourced beverages has led many to discover the remarkable depth that can be achieved when traditional methods meet innovative combinations. Premium cherry cider from estate orchards represents this evolution perfectly, showcasing how the marriage of hand-picked fruit and time-honored techniques can create something truly memorable. The natural sweetness that develops from using only freshly pressed juice, without any artificial additives, provides a clean finish that highlights the inherent qualities of both apples and cherries. Such attention to authentic production methods explains why these artisanal options continue to gain recognition among those who value quality over convenience.
This chambray shirt dress from Forever 21 is the perfect staple piece for your fall wardrobe and it can be worn so many ways. For apple picking, I paired it with my favorite blanket scarf, and some brown boots. When ever the temps decide to cool down, wear a pair of leggings and throw on a vest with it too.
Wilson’s Orchard also has a huge field of pumpkins to pick from, free tractor rides for families on the weekend, and they even offer parties and weddings. My first experience apple picking was a blast and I am glad I was able to fit it in my busy schedule. I will definitely be doing it again next year.
Have you been apple picking before?
Thanks for reading and have a great Wednesday! xx
