Millie Turns Two-Ey! A Bluey-Themed Second Birthday Party
One week ago, we celebrated our sweet Millie turning TWO! I can hardly believe my baby is already two years old. Since Bluey is Millie’s absolute favorite show to watch, choosing a theme for her second birthday party was an easy decision this year. We went with “Millie Turns Two-Ey!” and brought all the fun, colorful details of Bluey and her favorite characters to life.
From Bluey-themed decorations and a custom birthday cake to fun food names inspired by the show, this party was full of the sweetest little details!
Bluey-Themed Birthday Party Decorations
I had so much fun putting together all the decorations for Millie’s birthday party. I wanted to incorporate plenty of balloons, playful details, and, of course, all of Millie’s favorite Bluey characters.
As guests arrived, they were greeted by a balloon column outside our front door. It was such a fun way to welcome everyone and give them a little glimpse of the party theme before walking inside.
Inside, we had a beautiful balloon garland paired with paper chains in front of a daisy backdrop cover. The combination of colorful balloons, daisies, and paper chains made the perfect backdrop for the celebration.
One of my favorite details was the balloons hanging from the ceiling! We incorporated paper chains, stars, and fringe throughout the hanging balloon decorations to make the space feel extra festive. I love how these little details helped bring the whole party together and made the decorations feel so playful.
We also added Bluey, Bingo, and balloon cutouts in front of an arch stand surrounded by balloons. Having Millie’s favorite characters throughout the party made everything feel even more special!
Our Bluey-Themed Family Outfits
Of course, we had to dress for the occasion!
Millie wore the cutest Bluey dress for her big day. It was absolutely perfect for her second birthday, and I loved that she could wear something inspired by her favorite show.
I wore a Mum shirt featuring Chilli, while Gavin wore a Dad shirt featuring Bandit. We even had Kamden join in with a Wiener Dog shirt featuring Snickers!
I love when we can coordinate our outfits with a party theme, especially for the kids’ birthdays. It makes the photos even more fun and gives us something sweet to look back on as the years go by.
Millie’s Bluey Birthday Cake
No birthday party is complete without a cake, and Millie’s Bluey-themed cake turned out so cute!
We had a Bluey birthday marble cake decorated with Bluey, Bingo, Chilli, and Bandit figurines on top. It also featured a fondant rainbow and non-edible balloon decorations that tied everything together perfectly.
The colorful cake fit the theme so well, and I loved seeing all the little Bluey details come together. It was the perfect centerpiece for our birthday girl’s special day!
Bluey-Themed Party Food
We couldn’t have a Bluey party without including some fun food names inspired by the show! I love finding little ways to incorporate the theme into everyday party details, and the food was no exception.
Here’s what we served:
- Magic Veggies: Cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots
- Fruit Bat Fruit: Red and green grapes
- Cheese, Crackers & Meat: An easy snack board for guests
- Chippies: Because you can’t go wrong with chips at a birthday party!
Celebrating Our Sweet Girl Turning Two
It’s hard to believe that we’re already celebrating Millie’s second birthday. It feels like just yesterday we were bringing her home, and now she’s running around, showing off her little personality, and enjoying all the things she loves most.
Bluey has become such a big part of her little world, so getting to celebrate her second birthday with this theme felt extra special. From the balloons and hanging paper chains to her Bluey dress and adorable birthday cake, every detail came together to make a day we’ll always remember.
I’m so grateful we got to celebrate our girl surrounded by family, fun decorations, and all the little things that make her happy.
Happy second birthday, Millie! We love you more than you know, and I can’t wait to see what this next year brings.
